After the long sultry summer, the air gradually becomes fresh and pleasant, and the colors of the landscape take on autumnal tones.

The fields around the farm are plowed and the yellow of the wheat is replaced by the brown color of the tilled soil. The forests turn orange and brown and the first leaves fall.

In the evening you can admire sunsets bathed in violet and photograph postcard landscapes from your holiday apartment that you will never forget.

Our pool is still open

Thanks to the mild climate in autumn, our pool remains open until October 30th. During your weekend trip or fall vacation, you can rest assured that our panoramic pool is still open and being maintained. Autumn in Tuscany: the best time of the year for sports activities

Sport plays a big role at our farm because we have a 200-hectare nature park that invites you to do all sorts of exercise.

Even though our farm is surrounded by hills and the climate is cooler than in the valley, even in summer, the best season for sporting activities is still autumn, i.e. the months of September and October.

During your autumn holidays, you can explore the countryside on a horseback ride with our riding school’s expert guides or go on a mountain bike adventure with a guided tour on our trail area in the Montaione area. Simply rent one of our Scott electric mountain bikes.

The culinary autumn delights of Tuscany

Every season in Tuscany offers you delicious, seasonal dishes made from local ingredients.

During an autumn holiday in our agriturismo you will discover the delicacies of autumn at the table. Every season we change our menu and adapt it to the seasonal products of our region.

Gabriella, our chef, will prepare you delicious tagliolino pasta with truffles from our forests, or you can try our wild boar stew with freshly pressed olive oil or a pasta alla boscaiola with seasonal mushrooms.

Above all, in our agriturismo you can taste the wines produced in our region during the harvest in September and October.

Discover Tuscany in autumn

The heat has now subsided and a visit to the nearby towns is a pleasant change.

San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Florence and Lucca are less crowded with tourists and a walk through the streets of these historic, medieval cities in autumn is a magical experience.

On autumn weekends, when you visit the surrounding towns and also the lesser-known places in Tuscany, you can experience village festivals where you can taste local products. You can spend a day at the truffle festival in San Miniato (sagra del tartufo di San Miniato) or Montaione or visit the festival of typical products in Volterra (sagra dei prodotti tipici di Volterra).

We harvest our olives and make new oil

In October you can experience the harvest of our organic olive trees – the olive harvest is a unique experience. You can also visit our nearby oil mill where we press the olives and taste our new oil in our restaurant with our specialties.
